Brandon McMahon's Books

Brandon McMahon has two books of poetry available online, "Scrap" and "The Funeral Party".

Scrap by Brandon McMahon
"Scrap" by Brandon McMahon
$9.95

"Scrap" was Brandon's first book, which was published by Publish America. "Scrap" was featured in two newspaper articles, one in The Record Journal, based in Meriden, Connecticut, and the other in the New Haven Register, based in New Haven, Connecticut. This book was released in the summer of 2002, just after Brandon left college. To this day Brandon considers this book his single finest achievement (but he plans on topping it, stay tuned). Brandon wrote and published this book in the hayday of his drug addiction, but has since recovered. He has come to describe this book as about how one person changes the world every day whether they wants to or not, because decisions made today affect the future and last forever, and how, 200 years from now, the entire world will look different due to the decisions made by an individual today. And the book, if read from beginning to end, describes this in very accurate and exact detail. It paints a complicated picture, yet is easy to understand and enjoy. "Scrap" by Brandon McMahon is available in paperback for $9.95 on PublishAmerica.com.

The Funeral Party by Brandon McMahon
"The Funeral Party" by Brandon McMahon
$8.95

"The Funeral Party" was actually Brandon's third book, the second being titled "Forever Animals", which is not available online. Brandon calls "The Funeral Party" his worst book. When asked why he thinks that, Brandon states "because it's bad." And then, if asked why he published it, Brandon says "because it's good!" Many people would think this book is depressing, but Brandon doesn't think so. He believes there is a greater purpose to life that continues after passing away, and he brings this into vivid detail, which sometimes frightens people. But Brandon sees it as a natural part of life which should be celebrated as passing on to something greater, a new chapter in a continuing life. "The Funeral Party" by Brandon McMahon is available in paperback for $8.95 on CreateSpace.com.

Brandon is planning on publishing his fourth volume of poetry in early 2013, which will be titled "Peace" and available in hardcover.
